WHAT TO DO WHILE WAITING
Sometime in 2014, a friend and I scheduled a meeting with Deacon Amen, the only quality surveyor practising as a civil engineer in the whole of Benin. In the course of our meeting he remarked that there was not a single time in his life where he was unemployed for a month. Though he had no job on several occasions; he created jobs for himself. When there was non, he organized tutorials, at another point he rode taxi. All so he would never be idle; not doing something about the vision of the Business empire he now owns. Through all of those times, he was saving for the bigger picture.
The reason many people struggle financially is because they refuse to do anything right now to salvage their financial situation. Some give excuses that they are students, the graduates say they are unemployed while the employed say their income is too little to start up something. They have been waiting for just enough money to go into business. They fail to realize that today is the tomorrow that they talked about yesterday and the tomorrow they are talking about won't exist if they don't seize it today.
If you're still waiting and dreaming, not doing something to seize today, I have good news for you: The world only moves for those who move. Deacon Amen warned me saying, "If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. And if you can't walk, crawl. Just make sure there's never a time in your life where you're not moving: doing something to help the future."
