The story is told of a Scotsman who was an extremely hard worker. He not only held himself to a high standard but set the same for those who were under him.
During one project where he was setting seemingly impossible deadlines for his men, a coworker needled him, saying, "Hey, Scotty! Don't you know that Rome wasn't built in a day?"
"Yes, i read about that, " the Scotsman replied." That's because I wasn't the foreman on that Job!"
Nature is not sympathetic, else every poor man should be made rich with time. It only blesses those who play by the rules. True Success begins with God, but always have a measure of good attitude to work. The attitude that says 'I can do it', one that says 'because they couldn't do it doesn't stop me from doing it'.
Like the Scotsman, drive hard and think along that line regardless what people think. Put in your best every single time like there's no tomorrow. Approach the construction of your Rome like one day is its deadline.
After high school, the Mummy I worked with always repeated a statement to me that has been a guide for years. She would often say, "Anything worth doing is worth doing well." Always put in your best. If you won't do it, don't. But if you must, put in your best and nothing less.
